The Young Women’s Policy and Advocacy Council (YWPAC)
The Young Women’s Policy and advocacy Council (YWPAC) brings together young Black women from across Mississippi to change the state and the world!
We are looking for girls and young women from across the state who are interested in changing their communities.
If you want to develop your leadership abilities, learn about policies that affect you, and learn how you can make positive changes for those around you, this program is for you.
Our Ideal Participant

Young Black girls and women ages 16-24

Live in the state of Mississippi

Interested in policy and how it impacts their lives

Loves their community

Strong leadership potential

Creative

Can attend seven in person meetings in Jacksons, Miss.
Program Expectations

Attend a kick-off event in Jackson, Miss. (all expenses paid)

Yearlong commitment

Willingness to engage with other members of the council
