Black Girl Summer: COVID-19 Community Needs Assessment
The Lighthouse | Black Girl Projects seeks to provide holistic leadership development though focused programming for Black girls and women in the southeast United States. These programs range from professional development to community needs assessments and crisis intervention strategies. The ultimate mission of The Lighthouse is to create and spaces of safety and solidarity for Black women and girls to exist, evolve and thrive, unapologetically.
This purpose of this Community Needs Assessment survey is to measure the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Black women and girls living in Mississippi’s Jackson Metro Area. In doing so, The Lighthouse will be able to determine the gap between the needs our target community and the current assets available to them during this global pandemic. Participation in our survey means your identity will be protected. Respondents will receive a $15 electronic Amazon gift card for completing the survey.
If you have any questions or concerns about the survey, please contact one of our Black Girl Summer researchers, Hawatu Davowah at firstname.lastname@example.org or Christy Craig at email@example.com.
