- the spaces between the living and the dead as understood through Black and African spiritualities;
- the world we live in where our identities are sometimes treated as costumes and our safety is not valued; and
- the worlds we are creating, either in critique of those worlds (re: is Black horror trauma porn?), celebration (the increasing presence of ancestor talk and practice in Black communities), or a response that lands somewhere in between.
